Paging Dr. Freud...
Ah, yesterday was a good day! We crashed Studios at about 11:00 a.m., and we met Kyle on set to watch him serve and protect Shrek - I'd hate to have the job where you have to tell little kids Shrek needs to go on break and can't pose for a picture. But he handles it well. At his lunch break, he cruised around the park with us for a while (not what I would have wanted to do on my lunch break, so yay for Kyle) and backdoored us into Shrek 4-D. We went to see Eric on his boat at the Jaws ride, which was ... interesting. He does a great job at it, and I'm glad he likes having people come see him work, because if I had to pretend to be afraid of a big piece of plastic, I wouldn't really want people coming to watch.
The big news? I WENT ON DUELING DRAGONS!!! I'm not a big fan of the roller coaster - I think it's the screaming, more than anything, and the big drops. Loved the part where we stopped on the steep freaking incline because stupid Fire had lagged behind at the gate. Cue me screaming "Let me off!! Let me off!! I hate this place!!" and the ten year-old next to me saying "Lady, just relax, would ya?" Ah, the shame.
So yeah, it was a fun day. Sarah and I had a good time bonding, and she was very patient with my wussiness.
I'm so excited to see Rocky Horror again tonight - we have a decent-sized group, so it should be fun.
Last night, when Eric was ranting about his new girlfriend-to-be, he accidentally called her Alyson. Hmmm....let's read too much into that, because it's fun and makes Eric blush.
Speaking of Eric blushing, today I am happy because Eric is happy. (Let's not diminish the element that I now have many opportunities to tease and torment Eric, which is always fun.)
So here's a fun auction for you to take part in, if you have thousands of dollars lying around. The Paris Review is auctioning off such exciting items as a book from Hunter S. Thompson (there's so much more to that - make sure you're checking out these links), a poster from Kurt Vonnegut (which is on my Christmas wish list), a bit of NPR hubris, and a message from Alec Baldwin.
