Yay for Veterans!

Not only are they saving lives most of the time, but they get us a day off. Some of us. Anyway, take a moment today to remember them, because after all, they're just doing what they're honour-bound to do, and that is NEVER a bad thing.

So I just finished washing my car - there's something special about a hand wash. It takes forever, but it's cheaper than taking it to Octopus, and there's so much fun in discovering all the new nicks and chips in my car's paint. Oh the humanity!

I love my car! In case you're not aware, my car is one of those spectacular little hybrid jobbies, a Toyota Prius, 2004. The one with the year-long wait list. Hedwig was actually shipped to me from Montana back in March, so I didn't have to wait, and even though I've had a few issues with her (nothing a little warranty wouldn't fix), she's a stellar little piece of work. I mean, come on - her doors open and her engine starts without a key! That's just cool! (And she is named after that most glittery of drag queens because, well, drag queens aren't quite the definition of men, not fully women, and my car's not quite the definition of gas, not fully electric. Clever, no? No? Oh well. I like it.)

I am off to Universal today with Sarah, and hurray for that! Even though it looks like rain! Boo! Oh well! (There were so many exclamation points already in this post, I've decided to just go with it!)

Here's my post for the day! Hope you enjoyed it! Hug a soldier!
