Pfffffbbbbttt...

Things that work for me:
Zach Braff, Dane Cook, and Interpol becoming huge (I feel like I did that)
Long posts about cruises
Random quizzes
Connecting or reconnecting with people - past six weeks or so have been good for this, changing statuses from "friend of friend" or "dude I used to know" to "friend"
People falling in love, or at least in deep like
Miracle face goo (courtesy of Steph, who is a genius at finding things that work for me)

Things that do not work for me:
Leaving work because of vomit-inducing cramps (TMI!! TMI!!!) and having the distinct feeling that my supervisor thought I was making that up (why would I leave early on Appreciation Reception day, when free alcohol and food is offered up to us lackeys?)

What's that you say? What random quiz? Why, I'm glad you asked!

RANDOM QUIZ TIME!!!!!

1) Favorite coffee drink?
Black tea. With sugar and cream. (But if I have to pick a coffee drink, I have to be very specific: Nonfat half-caf latte from Caffe Ladro in Seattle, preferably the store in the Fremont district, which has the best most amazing coffee in the world. Starbucks is crap. If I still lived in Seattle, I would be a total Ladro whore.)

2) Favorite alcoholic drink?
A good vodka and tonic with lime. (Grey Goose preferred...)

3) If you could do anything (jobwise) what would you want to do?
Sing and/or act for lots of people. For actual money. Enough to live on. Unless I am lucky enough to:

4) What would you do if you won the lottery?
Participate in #3 full time. Pay bills, have a ridiculously extravagant wedding, buy a better house and give David Clevinger free reign to spend as much as he wanted making it our dream home. Make sure all my friends/relatives are comfortable and taken care of, take people out for dinner, buy things at retail. Purchase and force J to drive a Prius. Take up expensive hobbies. Vacation to all the places we want to go. Et cetera. (I'd give some away, too, help out some theatre groups, GLAAD, SPCA, Alzheimer's research...) This better be a big-ass jackpot. Depending on the amount, we'd have homes in Seattle, New York, maybe London....

5) Who is the person you spend the most time with?
Not including coworkers, I assume. If sleeping counts, J. If not, possibly the cast/crew of whatever show I'm in at the time. If no rehearsal or show that night, J.

6) What's on your Xmas list?
i-Pod. Gift cards to MAC store. Many, many gift cards to MAC store. (Seriously, you should see the list I made yesterday of makeup goodies I can't live without - I'll be able to open my own store.)

7) Do you have someone special?
Many of them. One in particular to whom I assume this one refers.

8) Ever been in love?
God I hope so or this whole wedding thing is a big sham. (The honest answer: of course!)

9) Who do you admire?
People who can make me forget how uncomfortable I am around people.

10) Blonde, brunette, or Red Head?
The interesting thing about this question is that every answer I have seen to this question assumes it's expecting a "what are you attracted to" response. I'm thinking in terms of me. I've been all three, I want to be brunette but Zeus keeps adding highlights and insists I'd hate being all brown, I look best with red tones, I can't go solid blonde, and for the record, I like men with dark hair. (Preferably longish, thick, and maybe a bit wavy, but I like short and spiky too.)

11)Favorite food?
Gnocchi Piamontese from Il Pescatore, Drunken Noodles from Thai Place, and my scallops with thyme browned butter orzo pasta.

12) If you could change lives with one of your friends for a day, who would you pick?
Wow. I don't know that I would actually. I'll wait until one of them is famous, then maybe go with that one. Or perhaps J, just so I could understand what the hell it is he does all day at work.
