Well, Crap
I don't know what my deal is. I still haven't actually met The Witch. I'm not connecting with her - we haven't been introduced, I don't know who she is yet....and we opened on Friday. I don't think the reviewer was impressed with me, although he seemed profoundly impressed with the show on the whole. I don't think some of my pals who came to see the show were impressed with me. I don't think my castmates were impressed, and worst of all, I'm disappointed in myself. It's not like I'm sucking all over the stage, but the only point at which I feel like I kinda "get it" is during "Last Midnight." Oh well.....everyone else is nailing their parts down pretty well, and that at least makes it a fun show - easy to play off of everyone.
Bitty and Brodie have been fighting over the same pink fluffy toy for about 20 minutes. Rooster finally just got up and bitch-slapped them both. That made me laugh.
Have I mentioned lately how much I LOVE Super Target? I don't want to...I really don't. I'm not a big fan of corporations - as much as I can, I eat in independent restaurants, shop at family-owned businesses, and stay at bed-and-breakfasts where the owners live onsite. I like supporting the little guy. But I LOVE ME SOME TARGET. My new favourite thing - their line of Bamboo products. I just bought a set of sheets made with bamboo (rayon can be crafted from bamboo fibers) and they are so luxurious....and I can sleep on them in my new Nick & Nora garden gnome jammies that I got for $6.47. Forget Disney - Super Target is the happiest place on earth.
Oooh, I got to meet Dan this weekend, who does indeed live up to his "Cute Boy" moniker. And what a warm guy....nice going, Jeff! You both have found a real catch!
Travis and I watched Cinderella Man last night. I hope we have what Jim and Mae had. What a beautiful love story.
Speaking of beautiful love stories, my beloved great-aunt Trudy went to join Uncle David on Friday. I can't be sad - she missed him so badly and as much as she loved us all, she wanted nothing more to be with him again. They have always been my Love Mentors, totally dedicated to each other, providing each other with love, support, independence, and stability.
Time to go start lunch for Travis...which is so much better than being at work. Thank you, Dr. King. (Not just for giving me a day off, but....you know what I mean.)

Who cares what other people think? Acting is two journeys -- one for the audience, and one for you. YOUR journey has to come first. People come along for the ride because they want to, not because you're making them. Does that make sense?
