Posting will probably be relatively light this week, as most of the week will be spent in a continued frenzy of packing and throwing stuff away. Who wants to read about that? Or about how exhausted I am because of all that?
So the good news for the day:
The garage sale was a hit - I took in over $400 for charities. I got rid of the last of my furniture, thankfully, and still have quite a lot to hand over to the Salvation Army.
With the help of my "agent", I got the guys at Performance Honda to agree to a pretty good price for a 2005 CRF 250X. Now I just have to decide if I really want to buy a dirtbike brand new or find a really lightly used one...I hate haggling, but fortunately Travis did an excellent job for me both at Honda and at the garage sale. (And this is where I could go into yet another rant about how stupid-lucky I am and how helpful he was this whole weekend and through this entire nightmare moving process and all that....but I'll spare you for today...)
Jason dropped by the garage sale on Saturday morning and we chatted for almost two hours, and I was really happy about that.
Stephanie dropped by as well, and she invited us to join her for Two by Two at Bay Street on Saturday night. It's a show I would have enjoyed a LOT more on more than three hours of sleep (as would be the case with pretty much any show), but it was well done. And it was so much fun to watch the people in charge (David Clevinger, Deborah Carpenter) up on stage. And time spent with Steph is always worthwhile.
So, Little Bit is puppy-trained (curse of the small dog - there's no complete housebreaking, but it's a miracle she's even able to manage the pad) and I figured out pretty quick that those puppy pads are a waste of money - so I started buying those incontinence pads meant for human use, which are the same thing only much cheaper. So yesterday I needed milk and pads for her...and the grocery store was having a really good sale on cranberry juice, which I enjoy (especially the white cranberry - yum.) It wasn't until I was standing at the checkout that I examined my five jugs of cranberry juice and two bulk packages of incontinence pads, and I suddenly found myself a little embarassed. "Welcome to my bladder issues - I'm a 26 year-old bedwetter with a scorching urinary tract infection." I almost felt the need to explain to the checkout girl that I was completely normal and in perfect health and it was all a strange grocery coincidence.

LMAO at your grocery experience.
Ellen Degeneres once talked about making trips to the grocery store solely for the purpose of messing with the cashiers' heads. She was fond of picking up just 3 items, like say a can of baked beans, a lawn chair, and a douche.
Glad the sale went well!
