It Was A Category WHAT?!

First of all - sweet relief continues to abound:

Little Bit

Moving on...not having TV or Internet at the house? Losing its rustic mind-expanding charm. Did you know a massive hurricane nearly destroyed most of the Gulf Coast? Because I didn't. I make up for my poor connection to the outside world by perusing CNN.com at work and listening to NPR in the car, but I still feel desperately out of the loop, especially on weekends. I miss my morning Headline News. Anyway...prayers and good karma to everyone in that region.

Today I'm happy because I made it onto the wall.

There's stress everywhere. I sit quietly and listen and offer to help in any way I can. What I want to do is sprinkle fairy dust, putting the Stressed Individual into a deep sleep until I can find some way to make everything easier to handle. How lovely would it be? I just put you into a sleep filled with dreams of s'mores and twisty cones, and when you wake up, you're in charge at your job and don't have to take crap from anyone anymore - your schoolwork is done and turned in on time and your report reads straight A's - your job search is over and you're loving every minute at your new place - you're moved and settled in to your new home - your emotional turmoil has subsided and you're happily ever after - you're home to your loving mommy and you don't even remember those scary 25 hours where you couldn't find your way home. (Hey, who said it had to be just for people?)

Why do we have to work so hard at life sometimes? Honestly, if I'm a good person, shouldn't I get a free ride to Easy Street? But I shouldn't complain - happiness is much more valuable to us when we have to earn it.

I was only called back for You Can't Take It With You and I didn't get it.
