I Would Like To Emphasize
That I am not an evil person. I get these little pangs of guilt for disliking someone, especially when I verbalize. I understand health issues and all of the things that can hinder one from doing the things one would like to do, and I do sympathize. But when you KNOW (and you have to know, because EVERYONE knows) that you will probably not be able to follow through on a task to the best of your ability, why do you even bother signing on? And why on EARTH do people facilitate this process? You could be the greatest director (or whatever) in the world, but if you can't show up, can't organize, and end up stranding your assistant with all the work, only to have her discover that you haven't done SQUAT and she's got two weeks to make this happen, then you really shouldn't sign up for that task. Period. If you have to do SOMETHING, then bite the bullet, sign up to assist, and give the credit to the person who's going to end up earning it anyway.
That's my issue. Not that he's not a nice person - I bet he is. But at this point, all I can say about him is that I will not be working with him again.
I miss Lynne - can't wait for her to get back, but I bet she's having a great time.
On that note, hey, come see my show - it's amazing what a group effort and a little scrambling by Cathy Mac (yay for hard workers) can create. We open tonight and run through June 12.
