Flamingos...Or Alligators...Or St. Augustine...

I gripe about a lot of stupid crap. I do. But I can honestly say that I've never spent much time complaining about the Florida quarter. I just listened to two CMs here in the office spent ten minutes trading opinions on what should have been on the quarter instead of the boat/shore/shuttle motif. (My only thought on the matter when the thing was released was how close the space shuttle is to the water and land - I would think it would be terribly dangerous and noisy for a NASA shuttle to buzz an island. But it's not really something I've thought long and hard about recently.)

Do you ever kinda wish your blog was serving some greater good, some common purpose? Acheiving some sort of lofty goal? I keep reading in Time and whatnot about these bloggers who report on world goings-on from the Middle East, or pass along updates from disaster sites and how you can help, or post useful tips and information, and I get these little pangs of guilt for how useless my blog is.

But when I started this thing, I started it with the focused intent of being completely self-serving, and that's how it's going to stay, dammit. And if I can pass along a few tidbits here and there (like that Vaseline-as-eye-makeup-remover thing), then that's handy too.
