Ahhh, Hell Yeah
Shout out to Mr. Geoghagan for the fulfillment of multiple quiz requests.
Today I'm happy because after the outstanding movie A Very Long Engagement, Stephanie and I went to Dexter's and met John for some social time. It was very nice. (Oh, and I'd like to thank Eric for making "Nice" a very large part of my vocabulary. Everything is "nice" now. Oh, look, cake. Nice. Someone says something funny - Nice. You tripped and fell down a well? Nice.)
So here it is,
THE FIRST QUIZ OF THE REST OF YOUR YEAR
1) Tell me about your mother.
My best friend - loves to give advice, which I am usually annoyed with but frequently follow. And when I don't, usually determine down the line that I should have.
2) Describe 2005 in one word.
So far? That would be "Oops." Or maybe just a sigh of relief. Can a sigh of relief count as a word?
3)If you were hosting Saturday Night Live, who would you want the musical guest to be?
Ooh, good one. Someone who I love that doesn't get enough attention...maybe Ours? NO! What am I saying?! Real Love Diplomats.
4) Tell us about something that's popular right now that you 'just don't get'...
Paris Hilton? Ridiculously tiny dogs? (My dog is only foolishly tiny, not ridiculously tiny.)
5)When was the last argument you were in?
Um, today, kind of. If you count slamming a door and refusing to discuss anything further an "argument".
6)What is you Mantra?
Right Understanding, Right Thought, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, Right Meditation (The Noble Eightfold Path, in other words)
7) A good nap or a good shit...?
A good night's sleep. A good nap was all I got last night.
8)Who is your Mentor?
Probably my mom.
9) Who, of all your friends, would you want to get into a physical fight with?
Again, nice...I get into a physical fight with Travis just about every day, and that's kind of fun - but if we're talking non-staged...it'd be funny to see Kyle fight.
10) Elphaba or Glinda?
Elphaba. Lots of Elphaba.
11) Make a sandwich.
Deconstructed sandwich-like fetish: tablespoon of peanut butter, some semisweet chocolate chips, melted, Pepperidge Farm Potato Bread.
12)Do you believe in psychics?
Some people have the ability to be more aware than others. I believe in that.
13) Favorite Ancient Empire.
Mesopotamia.
14) What's a Question you want to see on one of these Quizzes?
Awww, see if I was any good at that, I'd come up with my own quizzes rather than waiting for one to bogart. So I guess that would be "You lazy bastard, why don't you come up with a quiz of your own?" (And my answer would be "Because you're better at it.")
15) These are a few of my favorite things...
iPod, iBook, Prius, blog, cell phone, stage, beaded cuff, MAC anyoldthing, my Abercrombie "Allison" pants (because I love having a style of pants named after me, and they fit unbelievably well, like pants named after oneself should)
16) Quick! Staring contest: you and me.
Depending on who you are; I'll usually laugh almost immediately. Kyle would break me down within seconds. Billy would lose on purpose.
17) What is the most romantic thing you would want someone to say to you?
I can't fathom...the only thing I have in my head right now is that spectacular line from Singles, "Now I'd just settle for a guy who says 'Bless you' when I sneeze."
18) Who is your Arch Enemy?
I'm a Gemini. Let's not go there.
19) Miss Scarlet, in The Study, with...
A belt and a whip.
20) Now there's a fetish I could really get into...
I really hate to copy, but I have to say that it's the asphyxiation thing too. Good times.
21) If it happens within our lifetime, would you want to help colonize Mars?
Are you kidding? I can't figure myself out on THIS planet. Wait, who's going?
22) Do you kiss hello?
If they do. Kevin Jenness, for example, is a hello kisser, and that's fine. I'm more a hugger, though.
23) So, what makes you so special...?
Spectacular ability to make mountains out of molehills? I have a pretty good belt. (Voice, not accessory.)
24) Would you rather be eaten by a crocodile or a shark?
A shark. Because there's a Dane Cook bit that goes with that.
25) Who are you really proud of right now?
Ridiculously enough, Travis. Because I was JUST THERE like, nine minutes ago, and it takes balls. Ooh, and Jason, because he got digits the other night at the Social show, which is a little strange for me to hear about but still kind of exciting from a friend standpoint. And I'm a little proud of myself right now too. I'm handling things well enough to muddle through, and I'll be just fine.
(I feel like I spend an awful lot of time explaining how fine I am, how fine we'll be, how fine things are going to work out...yawn!)
