It's Everywhere!

I noticed for the first time today that the postage machine at work is made by NeoPost. Now THAT is funny. Well, I laughed, anyway.

Today I'm happy because we went to my favourite Thai place (Thai Cuisine on Edgewater - scary looking building, but everything in there is amazing!) and I tried something new - and it was just as good or better than my usual! Someone should have tipped me off a long time ago that there's more to life than red curry and drunken fried rice.

I am carless today. Took Hedwig in for the 5,000 mile service (which is essentially an oil change for $69.95, though I talked them down), and there was a computer update to be done, which Hedwig steadfastly rejected. That's my girl. So they have to keep her until God knows when - they offered a rental, but I'll hold out and see if I can get her back today. Though if she needs a new computer, which she might, could be longer. Ah, the joys of a largely electronic car. (And it's not just a hybrid thing, naysayers - chances are your car has a computer too!) Still, for 52 miles per gallon, I'll put up with a lot.

I'm anxious for tomorrow - The Dessert Lady with friends! I'm dying to see if Larry has rid himself of Gaston's facial hair or decided to go with it.

hey -- whatever you get for dessert, ask for a side of rum raisin sauce, it's unbearably amazing. --Luerne.
