We can add "musty costume department" and "liquor store" to the list of goofy places Travis insists on playfully dropping to one knee. Someday he's going to be serious about it and I'm going to laugh and it's going to be a disaster.

Moonlight has a loft area now! A real live prop and costume room! And there's so much SPACE backstage! I mean, holy WOW - it's starting to look like a real live theatre in there.

Our application was approved - we can move in as soon as Friday. So when are we moving in? Travis is taking off of work on Friday. So much for my theory that this would probably end up being a rather tedious process.

So much for first of the year, too.

Ah well...when you know, you know. At least I'm not running off to, oh, say, Los Angeles. (Yes, Sarahs, I am looking at you. Both of you.)

Now begins the glorious task of furnishing 2200 square feet...sparsely. Currently, my furnishings are limited to a chair, a bed, and a piano - all the furniture sold with the house. As picky and nutty as I am about furnishings (I am not a furniture store buy-the-room kind of gal,) this could be a lifelong endeavour of antiquing and cries of "Oooh, pull over here, baby - I think I see some salvageable junk!" any time we get in the car. But we do finally get to start on some of the projects awaiting a residence - like the old stained glass window and window frame that we're converting into a headboard. This will be a clever and quirky home. Eventually. For a while, we'll just be trying out that whole "Third World Refugee" motif.

There was lots of smiling and laughing and smooching and being picked up and swung around for me last night - Travis is more excited than I had really anticipated. God, we're just so precious.

I'm going to hope this state of giddy lovey-dovey euphoria holds for the next, oh, say, 66 years.
