The Experiment

Ahh, self-indulgence. John M. did this on his blog ages ago, and I always meant to steal it, but I never did. I'm hoping for great audience participation, but I suppose we shall see. Please answer the following question.

What is your favourite or most immediate memory involving me?

Post an anonymous response as a comment, and I'll see if I can figure it out. (The fun is in the anonymity!) And I'd love to hear from my silent partners - the non-commenting readers!

First memory was our first actual meeting outside of blogs. Orlando Ale House. Fun times.

Oscar party about two years ago... I had never seen TiVo before. Did I capitalize the correct letters?

"That girl whatshername who I saw in Noises Off - She's actually INSIDE that fucking clock for the whole show!?"

Psychic-ly communicating with you while Sara Jones sang "Maybe This Time" at Jeff's 31st birthday. I feel fairly confident that we were both thinking the EXACT SAME thing.

Okay, I get most of these, but one of you has me pretty stumped...

1. Marcie (And that's one of my favourites too, although I specifically adored the Question-And-Answer period!)

2. Eric. Back when we both had two nickels to rub together. Ahhh.

3. Patrick! I miss the Empire. (That was evil of me to say, wasn't it?)

4. This is one of the challenges - I wanna think Luerne, but I got thrown by memory #6...)

5. David...yeah, that clock was fantastic.

6. This is the one. I've been to Lava only a few times, and I could name every person I've been with, but nearly every one reads my blog and nearly every time I end up in the Magma room on a tuffet talking for hours on end. Help!

7. Ahh, yes. Sarah. What a very, ah, unusual event that was. And of course, when I saw Cabaret, Travis and I had a little shared moment of "Wait, where have we heard this song before? Ohhhh...."

Difficult to choose just one. Maybe watching you be oh so sultry and sexy singing at the Moonlight Gala.

Dammit! I almost guessed you for that one because:
1. I remember it fondly
2. You seem like the sort of person who would specify "tuffett"
3. Not everyone knows the actual name for the back room, so it would have to be a Lava Familiar.

Ummm. In class. You described me in front of, oh, everyone. You said, "She's really tiny and then bam! Boobs." There was also a motion that went with it (and some more commentary as well, but the old ticker can't remember that much). Ah, you made me laugh and that's why I love you!

AHAHAH! It took me a minute...but just for the record, you're STILL really tiny and then BAM! boobs.

Thanks for the confidence boost Aly! ;) It was either that memory or the one in the motel room in Orlando. Ah ... yes, silly kids we were. ;)

Oh, NOT the motel! That was horrifying. Well, not at the time...but it is now!!

Seeing you on stage in Whorehouse and wondering when those braces would be off or if you could make folks forget they were there. You did!
