An Important Post. No, Really.

It seems everything I have going right now is at "Flux" level. I don't have any situation right now that has settled. But nothing in life is ever really settled - good God, how boring would it be then? Should be frustrating, really just kind of exciting. I've chosen to live now rather than look back or forward, and it seems to be working for me - other than those few moments when I look more deeply at things, and they quite frequently appear so bizarrely out-of-whack. But as I always say, out-of-whack is what I do - I love complicating things...keeps life interesting, fun, relationships ever-changing. The people most worth being around are the ones who allow the change, enjoy it too, roll with it, stay with you, understand... I have a few people I keep extremely close to me, and even if I haven't had them long, they're so precious. Even my dearest friends (save Jessi The Supreme Queen Of My Friendship Universe) have been around maybe a bit over a year - but have seen me through so much. The passage of time isn't what makes a good friendship...it's the honesty, the trust, the ability to relate, to understand, to laugh, to talk about anything or nothing at all, to ask questions and trust answers, to be quiet and still together without unease, to say "I care about you" without getting all uncomfortable, to hold them up, lean on them, and let them lean back so neither of you could ever fall. They're people who make each day worthwhile with a phone call, an email, a drop-in, and they don't even realize they're doing anything special because all they're being is themselves, and that's all I could want and more. They're so precious - I should tell them more often, and don't I say that all the time!? But they know who they are, so there - I'm telling you. I love you...and I'll never let you fall.
