No - I Cannot - Is Too Sexy
So, drifting back to rightside-up.
Good Things:
Kyle's birthday at Donato's (I ate an entire individual pizza, a salad, two Diet Cokes, and about half a loaf of garlic cheesy bread - which is about five times what I normally eat in a sitting.)
Singing "As Long As You're Mine" with Eric on a day's notice (That song will be amazing for us with a little work - we do blend well.)
The deflation of my ego ("Yeah, but she's not better than me." "What? Did you HEAR her sing?" ...ouch.)
Keeping time with a Prius on the way to work - we were a cute little energy-efficiency chain
Read-through tonight for the staged reading at the Rep - wheee!
Making new clever playlists on the iPod
This last Good Thing has become somewhat of a fixation, because I'm learning that it's not just the songs, it's the order. My first few playlists were just random songs I liked tossed into a jumble, but I'm learning to arrange thematically and create flow. I think I may start up a new career putting together soundtracks. My latest playlist is glorious; each song empties into the next so perfectly that when a friend was scrolling through the tracks, he would actually close his eyes, nod, and smile or whisper, "Nice...". I'm so proud of it, I think I'll post it here. It's my "Sexy" playlist, for when I need to feel less bleh about myself. If you know most of these songs, you'll detect the slow build and then the return - this is key. Here goes.
