Fetish

So now I'm getting into this IM thing. I'm not much of an instant messenger person, but entertaining "conversations" with the likes of Eric and Travis make it worth staying online for three hours rather than my usual "any email? no - okay, find something else to do" on-off tendencies.

Today I'm happy because I ran back through my blog and found some new comments. I love when that happens. One in particular tickles me, from the post containing my sexy playlist: "I had to write and commend you on your style and creativity in your playlist. It really does flow nicely, I hope you don't mind I copied it and recorded it. You are blessed with a rare talent, stick with it. Thank you again. BL." I don't know who BL is - if it's someone I should know or a random blog-surfer...but that definitely made for a happy.

I realized last night when cruising through the La Mancha program that not only did producer Lynne get my name in there as "Alyson E Wiley," but she even left out the period! I have this weird love of the period-less initial that began with Harry S Truman (now if only my E didn't even stand for something), but whenever the E does show up, there's inevitably a period there - I can't fault anyone for adding correct punctuation. The only thing more ridiculous than my fixation with the "E" is my fixation with the period-less "E". It's just that I've never been particularly fond of my name for theatrical purposes (I just don't think Alyson Wiley makes for a good stage name) and I guess I pop the "E" in there to give myself character.

Tonight is our staged reading at the Orlando Rep - if anyone's not busy tonight at 7:30, please come check us out. We rock. Well, as much as a group can rock a play written in 1924.
