The Running Man Is Acceptable
And the good days soldier on! Yesterday I trucked out to Melbourne to meet Jessi and Jimmy for lunch, and it was so fantastic - we sat at Conchy Joe's for about two hours. I got a mondo-huge tub of her mom's famous blue cheese spread (unbelievable stuff, top-secret recipe) and a whole bunch of homemade candy (which Jessi and Jimmy are fast becoming famous for), including some chocolate made with cayenne pepper, and that was one of the most exciting things I've ever put in my mouth. (Pause...) Anyway, also paid a visit to Wild Oats market while I was there, spent a bunch of money on healthy foods to counteract the half-dozen homemade chocolate-covered pretzels I ate on the way home...
So J comes into my room Saturday morning and offered to sell me both the tickets to the Jimmy Eat World show, since I really wanted to go and he said I probably like them more than he does anyway. See, that's why he's going to do much better next time around - just a great guy. So I called up Billy McCoy, one of my Favourite People, and he agreed to go with me. What a BLAST!! Okay, so this goofy band Elefant that opened wasn't all that great - good music and lots of energy but somehow depressing to watch. We talked in between bands about all sorts of randomness and just generally had good times. And Jimmy Eat World was so awesome - played all my favourites, plus my Song For 2005, "A Praise Chorus".

Today's a Play Reading Committee meeting for Bay Street, and my fasting day, I've decided (someone's been eating too much junk the past few days and needs a body-and-soul cleansing.) Hopefully both will be a success - we need to make some headway on the season. And then, who knows what else this day will bring me!
Good Things:
The Body Shop after-yoga refresher spray (Josh, you'd love this stuff)
My new papaya-and-peppermint shampoo and conditioner
Hyphens and parantheses, apparently
Cayenne pepper chocolate (seriously, DAMN)
Oh, and I need to catch you up:
Stephanie - Pause that. Hey Jeff, how do you do bold and italics and such on a Mac? I can't figure it out! Okay, restart and pretend I'm formatting as usual. Stephanie - met her during Noises Off, when she played Poppy, was also in Picasso at the Lapin Agile with me. She'll (hopefully) be playing my lover in Working Hard at the Fringe, assuming she approves at a read. Very cool chick, one of my very good girlfriends, good sense of humour, master of all things related to awesome beauty products, flawless skin. Always makes a good impression - Billy and Eric both commented on how much they enjoyed her presence on Friday.
Billy McCoy - Awesome Person in general. Talented actor and comedian - can weep buckets at the drop of a hat, but has spectacular comedic timing. Played Hysterium in Forum with Luerne, can be heard laughing very loudly on the Noises Off DVD. One of those people you meet and immediately want as your friend, innately likeable.
Eric - friend of Luerne originally, now one of my Favourite People also, friendship created via blog, auditioned for Man of La Mancha at my request and will be playing Padre. Very funny person, great quips and quick thinker. Once you get used to it, his personality quirks are quite endearing. And he doesn't seem to mind being yelled at in the middle of a movie theatre lobby. Gotta love that.

Aly-
Aahh young iBooker...that's the frustration with Apple products, hence my INFUSION email called Tea, A Drink with HTML and Black and White Jam.
You CANT!
That's a PC function, HTML. You are destined to Arial, black and white, lovey on your iBook and I hate it!
I am thinking about going to Enterouge for my emailing, because I'll have HTML options there.
Sorry!

Comment to Jeff: you can't sign your comments on Alyson's blog as "J" because then I think you're The Other J.
Comment to Alyson: it is totally selfish for me to be happy that this entry totally linked my name to two Friend Dictionary entries.
