Just Too Adorable

Okay, Jade, if you read this, keep hush-hush till Saturday!!!

The band gang's party is this Saturday night, and rather than buying for everyone, it was decided to do an exchange. I pulled Tracey's name, which is terribly exciting because she has awesome style and shopping for her is going to be so much fun. But just to be sure, I emailed her new hubby (remember that affair in October?) to see if there were any specific items I could pick up. He rattled off her personal style, including shirt, pant, and shoe sizes, in about six minutes, and we're talking such specifics as "fancy little weirdo belts, big flashy rock star buckles", describing her style as "shabby-chic mixed with dirt-rocker mixed with Crate-n-Barrel". But my favourite thing he said was this: "often smells like vanilla mixed with something unearthly (in a good way)."

Is that the sweetest description of his wife's scent? I love when couples know each other that well.

To be fair, it sparked a conversation with J where he rattled off my sizes, favourite stores, Christmas wish list, and a small description of my personal style with impressive speed. I don't think I've ever been with anyone who know my shoe size and that I wore pants in an eight long. Knowing the right size is pretty good, but J gets major bonus points for remembering the "long".

In my perfect world, where I was a size four and had plenty of money, I want that shabby-chic ragamuffin punkrock look like the Olsen girls have - they have great style, very individual and hip.
