Dessert, Supermodel-Style

Today I'm happy because some Picasso people and some friends gathered at The Dessert Lady, and it was good. (Go, eat, and check out the restrooms!) John M., Larry, Jen, Ashley, Steph, and Glen had dessert. I had wine. And that was it. I'm so good. Ah, and Larry unveiled the new look, which was (drumroll) a soul patch. What? That's right. For the record, I LOVED the hot little white goatee. I really miss these people - I keep trying to find excuses to talk to them without being bothersome. At least I'll have Glen and Ashley on a near-daily basis - that should keep me entertained! I'm already trying to arrange lunch dates with my downtown peeps.

We headed out to the Bosendorfer Lounge at the too-posh-for-you Westin downtown. I managed to hold back from climbing over the red velvet rope to plunk myself down at the Bosendorfer, but only just barely. The jazz we were hoping for was missing, but at least we could hear each other speak.

Hedwig is still waiting for her parts. I'm on my second rent car, which also smells strongly of stale smoke. Who do you have to kill to get a rent car with a working CD player and breathable air??

I remembered something the other day while I was missing Happy Carl (see previous post). There used to be this crossing guard near my house when I was in elementary school, and besides my 3rd grade teacher Ms. Hoyt (oh, she was awesome! I'll talk of her another day), he stands out in my memory most. He was a great guy...

Search for a lost memory that makes you smile today!
