what? this is my scared face.

i'm fed up. so fed up i'm abandoning capital letters. that's right. how do you like me now?

oh my god. they're everywhere. i swear anderson cooper must have interrupted the news every 30 seconds with "and remember, everyone should file bankruptcy, even if you don't really feel you need to."

who are these people? where did they come from?

i had to deal with the general public today. me. i lasted all of one hour before i was shaking, sweating, and starting to freak out. (i do not like the following: crowds, strangers, odd smells, sweat, stress, nervous people, lines, and handling things that look like they might be gross, like paperwork with unidentified stains.)

and now? halloween horror nights. i was so excited yesterday, but i have no more enthusiasm for anything but a good hard nap and maybe a nice long cry.

i begged travis to skip the gym and just come get me. i have a feeling by the time he does get here (oh, say, 7:30 tonight) the last thing i'm going to be interested in is going somewhere where there are crowds, strangers, odd smells, sweat, nervous people, and lines. fortunately i don't think anyone's going to hand me stained paperwork...but you never know. (holy shit that would be a great haunted house for next year - something like the dmv but with corpses.)

i'm not expected to work real hard here usually, but we're at a point well beyond overwhelmed. 860 new cases yesterday. that's about three weeks worth of cases in one single little day. and today was probably much, much worse.

i'm not unhappy right now, even though i'm bitching. i'm just exhausted and so ready for a weekend. i have that mr. bean face right now, the completely blank devoid-of-emotion look that's so amusing to everyone else. and i'm slouching badly...you know i'm exhausted when i abandon all attempts at decent posture. i have a feeling all my grand plans of getting things accomplished this weekend just got laid to the side. i'll probably make it to mac for some mascara and to wherever to pick up that new perfume, and that'll be my contribution to society for the weekend.

goodnight gracie.

so then you'd probably be terribly upset if I showed up to file bankruptcy, too?

everyone else is doing it...I might as well.

I probably qualify for it more than most of the others who have been showing up.

:-)

I love the "DMV with corpses" idea!

Sorry your work is sucking right now.
