Raindrops On Roses

It's amazing how much stock I put in pictures. I look at my Happy Board (the bulletin board at work filled with pictures of many of you) so many times a day I couldn't even count. And after grabbing a few framed photos that I hadn't yet boxed up from the Apopka house and throwing them up on some Groveland windowsills, my house feels a little better. Not there yet...but better.

It's so nice to start to get that little sniffle and whip around and...sigh, there's Travis and me as Pedro and Aldonza. Ooh, and there's Billy and me! Me and Kyle! My mom! Jessi and Bek and me at high school graduation...sigh!

A list of things that make me happy today:

The early-morning commute phone call from Travis.
**************************************************
The "tea bag" line from Toddie's post today - I keep mentioning it, but it really did make me laugh right out loud.
**************************************************
Jeff's long series of photos of wonderful people.
**************************************************
Getting strong enough cell signal that at least I can still send and receive rambling text messages with Eric.
**************************************************
Occasionally chomping a handful of Winter Park Farmer's Market kettle corn.
**************************************************
Remembering Friday night - that dinner, and then the rest of the night...
**************************************************
My cushy, plush, wonderfully soft-yet-firm new pillowtop mattress.
**************************************************
Getting "checked out" by my own guy. (Every once in a while, when we're a distance away from each other and scanning the crowd, he'll spot me and not immediately realize it's me, and think "Wow, that's a really hot chick...oh hey, that one's MINE!") It's nice to know I'm not the only one who does that...I mean, that I do that to him - not that I glimpse myself and think "Hey, hottie!" Well, sometimes I do...but you know what I mean.
**************************************************
Jim bringing in danish from Panera - what a guy!
**************************************************
As feverish as this weekend will be in preparation (again) for getting the house on the market, it will also be a lot of fun.
**************************************************
Gerard's 21st birthday dinner on Friday and his party on Saturday night.
**************************************************
Sunday's ice-skating with David for his birthday.
**************************************************
Hopefully getting to see Steph tonight, if only for a little while.
**************************************************
Having someone who thinks a girlie tea-room sounds like fun.
**************************************************
Orbit's new citrusmint flavour.
**************************************************
Little Bit's excitement over the vast number of trees she now has to pee on.
**************************************************
A small tiled shower-only that's very intimate and warm in the morning.
**************************************************
Waking up ridiculously early isn't fun for those first few minutes, but it does give you the feeling that you've got time to get tons accomplished today.
**************************************************
The fact that Roosevelt won't let me sit in bed alone for more than about three seconds - I've never had a more intuitive pet.
**************************************************
Indiana's finally starting to explore and get comfortable with her new surroundings.
**************************************************

That'll do for now.

I think I asked a not-so-great question before... But I'm glad you now have some pictures up. That always helps! Yay for this cheerful post. :)

The question was great - the answer was bad! It'll be a fantastic house before long...it's just a big pain in the arse right now! :-)

I completely understand. Our house isn't quite our "home" yet either. It just takes time, I suppose.
