Okay, Then.
There wasn't going to be a blog entry today - not much to talk about, other than my mad dash to finish the Harry Potter book. I have a few photos from Jen B.'s birthday party yesterday, but I haven't uploaded yet.
But this morning, I got to work and found an email from the director of Two by Two. He had asked for schedule conflicts, and I have all of two. Friday, September 2 (Amber and Nathan's wedding) and Saturday, September 3 (trip to Jacksonville). The show opens September 9, and my inability to be at rehearsals those two days just doesn't work. If I'm truly unavailable, I can't do the show.
Today I am happy because I put my friends first and didn't even have to think about it. Shows come and go - but things like weddings and road trips - those are too precious to pass up.
Guess it's a good thing I got a sudden irresistable urge to try out for Lend Me A Tenor last night, huh?
(For the record, I'm not terribly upset with the situation and I totally understand the director - an actor missing two rehearsals in the week prior to opening is difficult to work around, and I totally get that. Making this a positive - I really needed to dedicate the next few weeks to finding a place to live and getting set to move.)
