Coming along nicely.
Okay, I've been at work for 28 minutes and I'm ready to go home. I'll be here until lunchtime, then I'm out - gotta start back slow, you know, adjust to not being at home on my butt watching TV. It's a rough life.
I'm beginning to settle back into the old routine - spent last night vacuuming, dancing around the house, ironing, doing laundry, throwing a ball for Little Bit to chase, all those things that make life worth living. (Well, two things that make life worth living and three things I just kinda have to do.)
The doctor's appointment yesterday also went well - the doctor remains pleased with the results, and the swelling has diminished to the point that I can make out a cheekbone on the left side of my face. People at work were surprised to find me healing so quickly, so that's a good sign. And it's nice to come back to find a bunch of emails updating the team on my status - good to know that people were, if not clamoring for, then at least being provided with, information on my good health and recovery.
There's a Real Love Diplomats show at The Social this Saturday night. I'm going to plan on making it out, if anyone cares to join.
I forgot to mention - Jason's mom called me last week to see how I was doing. I was a little surprised at the time, but I have to admit that I was really impressed by her sweet gesture and it kind of made for a happy that day.
