If Monotony Had A Pause Button, It Would Be You

My day got broken up in a lovely way! My can of soup I brought for today languishes in a desk drawer - I was surprised with flowers and lunch plans! Why do you rock so hard?

So that's my happy - that, and the entertaining aftershocks that have followed in the wake. There are a lot of middle-aged women in this office, and the goings-on of an attractive (sure, why not) single gal in her 20s do get their attention on occasion. So the buzzing of "Ooh, you got flowers!" (wink wink) and "He's a doll" (and yes, that's the word that was used) have been a blast.

Made better by the fact that the flowers contain the card, "Congratulations - It's A Girl!" (I love the quirky sense of humour I share with my friends - no one would pick the appropriate "Just because" or "Thanks for being a friend" card, because that's not good comedy.) So now, since I won't comment on the card, the pregnancy buzz should be starting any moment.

I love this life - and yes, I am choosing to use my powers for evil rather than for good. Because it's a LOT more fun that way.

Quote of the Day: "Damn - I feel like a piece of meat!!"
