Cue The Violins

And so ends another day of me being completely pitiful. Waterworks commenced during Circle and pretty much kept on rolling. Holding hands with McKenzi and Travis - then Travis had a few words to say and we both cried. Pitiful. The death scene was off the hook, because I almost rivaled Billy for sheer volume on the waterworks - almost. There was a LOT of sniffling going on onstage in that final scene. I almost couldn't bear to hear Kyle sing "The Impossible Dream" for the last time - we both were on the verge of tears for that entire scene. I caught eyes with Eric during the reprise...a lovely moment. The Muleteers had WAY too much fun with the bread and water - there was soggy bread and puddles everywhere...gross gross GROSS. And Travis changed his delivery of the line "You would refuse Pedro?" to make it so amusing as to cause me to completely forget my response, which is a not-at-all-difficult, "Try me." Yeah...that's right...good show. And Ashley and the Scholls came too - finally, some representation from Bay Street!

During strike, I impaled myself on the head of a screw about seven feet in the air. For the record, dangling in the air while a bunch of people stand around staring at you as you are held aloft only by a Phillips head in the abdomen...about as much fun as you would think it could be. And yes, there is a very angry-looking gash down the middle of my stomach, which does bear the impression of a Phillips head - which is almost kinda cool. And frankly, I'm a little grateful that it eventually got caught on my bra - because dangling from my breasts was probably better than the alternative of continuing to fall all the way to the ground, grinding my face against that screw on the way down. Guess I got lucky there.

I had to go for a brisk run before the show to clear my head, but I do find I'm feeling better than yesterday.

Thoroughly enjoyed my four-hour dinner with Travis tonight. Warming up for our one-hour lunch tomorrow.

Not really feeling like adding subjects to any of my sentences, apparently. Too tired for nouns - verbs and qualifiers only.

Without further ado, and I know you always look forward to it - the Wish List - all those things I lived for during the run that I'll wish for periodically. The one that stands out from Snoopy is still powdering Kyle's puppy nose - there's always some OCD makeup ritual before a show, and that was it for that show...so we shall start with this show's OCD makeup ritual:

Applying Travis' eyeliner (though more for selfish reasons than theatrical ones); lacing the corset; tying the scarf; trying to breathe comfortably under the blanket; running the fight and the Abduction (haha YOU); listening to angry music to get into character; completely breaking character to hold hands during "I Am I Don Quixote"; that beautiful connection on the line "Take another look"; the missive scene with Billy; Eric's sexy Muleteer faces; "My mules are not this stubborn"; "Little Bird" and the scene that follows; Billy cleaning my face (the weirdest moment for me tonight was definitely finding myself feeling SAD that it was the last time Billy was going to wipe my face with his spit); The Abduction scream; bruises; being backstage after The Abduction (usually sobbing gently and/or nursing various wounds); seeing people wipe their eyes; touching Kyle's hair during the "Dulcinea" reprise; "Aldonza" and shaking with fury; giving Gerard a little push; cradling Billy and kissing the top of his sweet head; standing with Travis in the Meet & Greet (mooch); the amazing bra swap; every moment with the Muleteers; McKenzi and everything about her.

Tomorrow's the read-through for Oliver...that's almost 24 hours between the end of one show and the beginning of another. For me, that's pretty good.

Today I'm happy because it's President's Day. Hooray for useless government holidays!!
