A Buffalo Wing And A Prayer
Ahh, a day at home with J, scooting CDs onto the iPod and watching TV. We finished up Angels in America. I wish it wasn't six hours long so I could watch it every single day - what an amazing piece of work. Tony Kushner performs magic with words.
I rock the clock. Rick made some adjustments and it is a much more user-friendly apparatus now - I can run it fairly accurately without complete misery.
Show was good, had some drinks, some dinner, some chats. Pleasant enough.
Allow me to clarify, because I was unfair. Most actors do not treat tech like they're a rung below. There are those few, but I've always been able to deal with that. I think I'm more the one who puts myself down a notch - Tech Alyson is much more low-key and Eeyore-like compared to Stage Alyson. Someday I'll find one person to be. Wouldn't it be loverly.
I'm annoyed that every Alyson is horrible about interrupting people, though. I'm too scatterbrained to stay in one conversation without bursting in and out whenever I see fit. I should have to wear some sort of button - maybe I'll have one made, something like "Thank you for your patience while I become reacquainted with human interaction."
Today I'm happy because I experienced new things - like Venture Brothers, tech call, and staying quiet on the headset.
