uuuuugggghhhhhh......

That is the sound of me regretting the second plate of Greg's baked spaghetti, Susan's yams, and then piling Mary's death bars on top of it. I tried not to eat too much, and mostly stick to the green stuff, but...

I got the centerpiece from our table. Okay, Greg got the centerpiece, but they were bright yellow flowers (happy!!) and he put them on my desk while I was away. Awww, yay.

Today I am happy because the calla lily growing kit I bought at Target to perk up my cubicle is working! My bulb has three little sprouts so far. You have to know me, but with my history, there was a really good chance that the bulb would actually dig its way out of the pot and run for dear life, so this is a major triumph. If it blooms, I'll probably keel over dead from shock.

Christmas shopper alert: check Overstock before purchasing anything! They carry a LOT of stuff, and it's frequently way cheaper. (Always comparison shop, though - sometimes the deal's not as good as it looks - Amazon, another favourite, is a good benchmark.) I got two Kevyn Aucoin makeup artistry books there, same brand new books as on Amazon and they were $15 cheaper. The $50.00 gardening bench Mom wanted from Brookstone? $29.99. Shopping online is so wonderful - no traffic, no crowds, no exhausted salespeople, no tax, and if you're lucky, no shipping. Hurray for being antisocial and materialistic at the same time!!

I buy TiVo so I don't have to watch commercials, then I force you all to read through my public service announcements. But hey, I'm just trying to help you out.
