My Brain Needs Obedience Training

Too many things upstairs at once - thinking about the current situation, how just amazing it is that I've managed to cause grief for myself this week (me, I did it, no one did it to me) and I answered the phone as follows:

"Clerk's office, this is Awesome."

My name is not Awesome. My name is Alyson. But apparently I was either feeling so awesome at that moment, or I was thinking how awesome it is that I can get myself into these situations, and I announced myself as Awesome. Luckily the older partially deaf gentleman on the phone didn't appear to notice, but it was all I could do not to burst into shrieking laughter.

Ah, I will never be able to take myself too seriously, because I always manage to come out with stupid crap like that. It might be fun to see if I can get the nickname "Awesome" to stick. If people yelled out "Hey, Awesome, what's up?!" on the street to me, that would be...well...awesome.
