Catching Up - Cinematic Indulgence Issue

Today I'm happy because J and I are now members of Enzian. I get to attend the screening/wine tasting on Monday (We Don't Live Here Anymore looks like it's going to be wonderful.) We went Friday to eat, drink, and see The Blind Swordsman: Zatoichi. Never eat dinner while watching a foreign subtitled film. But I love that place.

Today we watched Goodbye Lenin!, which was an amazing and wonderful movie I highly recommend. And call your mother. Then we started to watch The Barbarian Invasions, but J decided he was completely tapped out on subtitles and I was way too involved with cutting pictures of bridal bouquets out of magazines to pay much attention.

And I'm still itching to see Garden State. Going to get around to that any day now.

I got a spiffy new phone, with a camera. I've been abusing that privilege ever since. And don't tell me if you have Sprint PCS - I know I'm about three years behind the times, but this text messaging thing is kind of fun, and Shawn can tell you that I'm a little bit obsessed with my new toy.

Kevin Jones had back surgery Friday, so send him good karma. I hope all went well - he's probably still too doped up to return my phone calls. I'm still trying to decide whether I'd love or hate two months of bed rest.
