It Doesn't Matter Whether You Win Or Lose

Bah. That's just something losers say.

Last night was Poker Night, and it was pretty successful from a good times standpoint. Smallish turnout, which is probably good since my table only seats four. And, let's see...what else...oh yeah.

I won I won I won I won I won I won I won I won I won I won I won.

Neener neener.

It was the greatest single hand of heads-up hold 'em in the history of no-limit-not-really-playing-for-actual-money hold 'em. John and I battled out until we were both all in, and even though he's likely a much better player than myself, with luck on my side I took him down in ONE HAND of heads up. I was drawing crap all night and my one really lucky hand was the last one - beautiful.

Even better, though, was the actual stash I took home - everyone brought food or drinks, and whatever didn't get eaten ended up in my fridge. If I do a Poker Night once a week, I may never need to grocery shop again! I have beer, soda, crackers, dip, cheese, fruit...this is fantastic.

Thanks to the folks who came out - next game will be on a weekend, and we'll get rip-snorted and have a REALLY good time.
